  1. This diskette contains files for Version 1.10 of VPS.

  6. Version 1.10 - October 1, 1986

  8.      1)  VPSRES no longer uses interrupt 66 or 67.
  9.  
  10.      2)  Support for serial printers has been added to VPSRES & VPS.
  11.          Only serial printers receiving their output via the
  12.          PC-DOS MODE command are supported. An additional format
  13.          for the @LPT statement has been added to support serial
  14.          printers.
  15.  
  16.      3)  Options selected on the menus are marked with a bullet
  17.          to indicate the option has been selected. The CLRB control
  18.          code has been added to clear the bullets. F1 will also
  19.          clear the bullets. The INIT function will also clear the
  20.          bullets.

  22.      4)  Additional samples have been provided. The provided samples
  23.          may not be fully functional and may contain bugs. Before
  24.          using any of the samples, you should verify that the escape
  25.          codes are correct. The samples are provided as a starting
  26.          point for you to expand upon.

  28.      5)  Assume a default file extension of .VPS

  50. If you assign a key code for de-installing VPSRES, please be sure that you
  51. pick a key code that is not likely to be used by some other product. If you
  52. de-install VPSRES by mistake while using some other program, you are most
  53. likely going to have to boot your machine.  ONLY de-install when you are at
  54. the DOS prompt. Refer to the documentation for further information on
  55. assigning key codes and de-installing VPSRES.

  59. Also VPSRES does not currently check to make sure that it is not currently
  60. resident. You can in fact cause VPSRES to become resident multiple times.
  61. When VPSRES becomes resident more than once, you will consume about 38K
  62. per program and will probably have problems when activating VPSRES. You
  63. can, if you are careful to specify different activation keys for each copy,
  64. have multiple versions available and resident to handle more than 1
  65. printer. But BE CAREFUL!!

  68. Although you are free to distribute VPS and VPSB, we prefer that you do
  69. not distribute VPSRES. VPSRES has a unique SERIAL number assigned to it
  70. which has been licensed in your name. You may make as many copies as
  71. you want, as long as they are for your own use.

  74. Version 1.1 of VPSRES has been changed in many ways from version 1.0.
  75. There may be some bugs that have not yet been detected and fixed.
  76. If you encounter any problems or have any suggestions on anything we
  77. have done, please let us know.
